Special Abilities


Might Fang

Karula is one of the few characters in the game that will dash rather than step if you double tap forward (66), not only is this a great way to advance in on your opponent (Karula is rather slow) it can also be canceled into a quick attack with the press of any attack button (X). Only the A version can be Special Canceled.

Air Throw

Karula is also the only character that can throw while in the air, the motion is pretty self-explanatory; while you and your opponent are in the air press the throw command (4 or 6C) if they are within range.

Preforms a mighty horizontal circular slash. Knock back. Wall bounce.


Specials

Fissure Break (236+X)

Smash the ground with your blade and cause a shockwave, the number of hits and how far the shockwave extends depends on the button pressed (with A having the least and C hitting the most and extending about half way across the screen).

Pulverize (623+X)

Jump forward and slam your blade into the ground. Air OK. If preformed in the air you will drop in place, blade first, the button pressed determines how fast you fall (A being the quickest and C being the slowest).

Drunkard's Hand (214+X)

A move that will alter depending on the button pressed:
  • A preforms a sidestep like dodge.
  • B smacks the opponent with a sake gourd.
  • C combines the A and B version, first dodging then hitting the opponent with the gourd.


Supers

Magma Break (2141236+AB)

Split the earth in front of you in two, releasing an angled burst of magma. Air OK. IF preformed in the air, strike down from above with the same force, releasing an angled burst of magma where you land. If Emotion is High the power of the attack increases.

Tyrant Edge (214214+AB)

Swing your blade with all your might, carefully time it to get a Clean Hit and more than double the damage. Super Armor. If Emotion is High the timing for the Clean Hit becomes more lax.


Splash Art

Volcanic Vortex (632146+BC)

Slam your blade into the ground causing a great crater, then slashes upward releasing a mighty eruption.
